LETTER FROM OUR FOUNDER:
June 30, 2022:  Clarissa Meador is now the new and very capable owner/operator of Tail Wagging Puppies, with assistance from her husband, Marty.  I have known Clarissa for more than 15 years and, having once been my sister-in-law, I still consider her "family". I have been mentoring Clarissa for more than 5 years as she has already had a successful Yorkie breeding business.
As I approach my 70th birthday, I realize that "To everything there is a season..." My 34 year season of providing you the cutest and healthiest puppies in Tennessee has come to an end. Make no mistake, I will still be involved with this business as I mentor our new owners as they do their best to continue the Tail Wagging Puppies legacy of excellence. I just will not be involved in the day-to-day sales, care, and feeding of our precious pups and their mommies and daddies.
Please pray for Clarissa as she takes on this bold new adventure. In addition, please pray for my husband and I as we settle into our new season of retirement.

Please be aware that we are a small operation. With numerous calls, texts and emails coming in daily, it is nearly impossible to respond immediately. Therefore, I humbly ask that everyone be patient as I get back with you.  Typically, I can reply to a text and email quicker than phone calls, due to the un-ability to hear when I am working the kennel or nursery.  I try to return calls at the end of each work day or the following day.

I invite you to continually check this website for new litters, updated pictures, and special announcements. I promise that when your spot comes up on the waiting list, I will call you, but please feel free to check in at any time.  

Any texts, phone calls, or emails received after 4:00pm (Central Standard Time) will more than likely be returned the following business day. 
NO calls, texts or emails will be answered on Sundays.  I will follow-up with that correspondence on Monday.

​BEWARE of PUPPY SCAMMERS!  
Since the COVID-19 pandemic, predators have taken advantage of the high demand for puppies. Be very suspicious of someone asking you for a deposit for a puppy to be paid via Western Union or by mailing a prepaid VISA,
​(i.e. Wal•Mart gift card). Many customers have fallen victim to this SCAM! 
Please Do NOT fall for it!  
​Only deal with a reputable dog breeder who has a verifiable address, willing to speak with you by telephone and share the name of their personal veterinarian.  
TO BE SURE...Every reputable dog breeder has a vet or veterinary clinic on retainer for vaccinations and emergency procedures. If you think you've found the perfect puppy at the perfect price... ask the seller this one question: "What is the name of your vet or veterinary clinic?" If they give you the info, Google it, then call the facility to see if they are familiar with the breeder. If they are not...RUN the other way!
